My passion for anti-corruption education comes from my experience as a white-collar crime lawyer. Time and again I saw defendants confront, often for the first time while being arrested or standing in court, the severe legal and personal consequences of the economic crimes they had committed. Their shock revealed a painful truth: many young people drift into fraud and other economic offences simply because they do not understand the laws or the lifelong consequences attached to them.

Witnessing that ignorance firsthand convinced me that courtroom victories alone would never dismantle the problem; prevention through education had to be part of the solution. I therefore moved to the front line of anti-corruption education, using my legal expertise to create targeted programmes that translate complex legislation into engaging, practical lessons for youth. Since 2012, these initiatives have reached more than five million young people, equipping them with the knowledge to avoid economic crime and inspiring many to become champions of integrity in their own communities.

Turning potential offenders into tomorrow’s ethical leaders is what continues to drive my work in this field.
